The day starts with a drive across the vibrant state of Goa, passing through small villages, past bright paddy fields and swaying palms as we head for the local sanctuary. Drive on to Collem to board the four wheel drive safari vans to take you to the waterfalls.
Enjoy a fabulous day out driving in a "four wheel drive", through dirt tracks and numerous streams, splashing around in the fresh sparkling water of the stunning DUDHSAGAR WATERFALLS and feeding the local monkeys.
Reach Waterfalls at 12:10 hours
Falling from a majestic height of 300 metres down the wooded mountains of the Western Ghats, the famous waterfalls at Dudhsagar, on the Goa-Karnataka border, draws a steady stream of visitors. The Konkani name for the falls, which literally translated means "sea of milk" is due to the clouds of foam kicked up at the bottom when the water levels are at their highest. Overlooking a steep, crescent-shaped head of a valley carpeted with pristine tropical forest, Dudhsagar is also set amidst breathtaking scenery that is only accessible on foot or by train (the line actually passes over the falls on an old stone via duct).

It's time for a refreshing swim in the cool clean pool waters and under the cascading streams. Lie down on a smooth rock or just sit under the shade of the trees and share the nuts with the cheeky monkeys who will also wait for the chance to relieve your
hands of unwanted bananas.
Leave waterfalls at 13:20 hours.
Reach Royal Retreat for lunch at 14:30 hours.
Leave Royal Retreat at 16:00 hours.
Optional elephant ride.
Reach back at 19:30 hours.
